The oak beams are a highlight in the house creating very large open spaces. The house features a spacious great room and dining areas with ceilings soaring 30 feet to the third-floor loft. The great room has 2 conversational areas and the fireplace is made of Maryland flagstone.
The kitchen is equipped for 20 guests includes a commercial range, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, and mini-fridge. Dishware and cookware are also provided. There is auxiliary freezer space if needed.
The house is filled with country antiques and family heirlooms. The walnut bar top in the kitchen area is 2 inches thick. The wood had been in storage since the Depression. There is a third-floor loft TV viewing area with basic cable, Western Digital unit, and DVD player, a 2nd-floor game room equipped with a Wii, DVD and basic cable, and wireless WiFi throughout the house.
