Here is a challenge for you today while you start to research Keto.
Think about your goals. Is it weight loss? Do you want more energy? Do you want to become more physically fit? When I started, I wanted to lose 15 pounds and to feel healthier. What is your primary goal?
Find a good “before” photo (no cardigans or sweaters allowed)! If you can’t find something recent, grab a snapshot today.
Then, take your measurements. This is really helpful because the ketogenic diet is not just about weight loss, but also about healing your body. There will be times when you do not lose any weight, but you may lose inches. For me, I keep my stats on an index card, but a journal would also be great. You can customize this for the measurements that are important to you. You will notice that I include “pudge” in my stats; if you have had a baby should understand the reference!
During your journey, your goals will change. You may decide to lose more weight or maybe less weight. Eventually, movement and activity will become more of a priority.
This is the start. The beginning. Find a journal or an index card. The choice is yours!
